Yes, another milestone is reached! This is my first analog portrait shoot with my very own studio light. This week I've tested a few single light setups, from side light until butterfly lighting. I'm already a huge fan of what butterfly or paramount lighting can do on a woman's face. Very beautiful lighting from above the camera. I shot this session on Ilford Pan F 50, next time I'm going for an iso 100 film.

This week some Amsterdam views shot on Ilford Pan F 50. All shot by hand, didn’t feel like bringing a tri-pod. Really want to revisit some of these shots with tri-pod for some extra sharpness. Also tried shooting a frame at 45 degrees, I like the effect.

I got an extension tube for my Hasselblad 500CM. What that does is that it makes you get really close to your subjects. I had little test around the house, also with some new film I got recently: Ilford Pan F 50. A very slow film with a nice contrast. The bokeh of the 180mm lens creates with this extension tube is amazing! A razor thin field of focus. Read More
